GROUPS URGE PASSAGE OF UNEMPLOYMENT COMPENSATION BILL

A coalition of groups representing organized labor, community legal services, disability rights advocates, advocates for domestic violence survivors and others called on the members of the General Assembly to immediately consider House Bill 2400. The legislation would amend Pennsylvania’s Unemployment Law to allow the Commonwealth to qualify for $273 million of federal funds made available under the federal Unemployment Insurance Modernization Act.
