Local Dentist Raises Money for PathWays PA With Discounted Tooth Whitening Service

Media, PA: From March 5 to June 30, Smiles for Life will partner with local dentist Dr. Harry “Buzz” Waterston to provide top-quality at-home tooth whitening at a discounted rate. The normal $295 whitening fee will be waived in return for a donation of $195 or more to the Smiles for Life Foundation, which benefits charitable causes nationwide. 50% of the monies raised will be distributed by Garth Brooks’ Teammates for Kids Foundation, and the remaining 50% will go to PathWays PA, a local charity based in Holmes, PA.

PathWays PA is a social services agency that will celebrate its 34th anniversary in 2012. Serving over 6,000 low-income women, children and families in the Greater Philadelphia Region each year, PathWays PA’s mission is to “To help women, teens, children and families achieve economic independence and family well-being.”

Every penny raised by Smiles for Life goes directly to charity, while participating dentists chip in to pay all the administrative costs of the program. This year’s local charitable efforts have been coordinated by Dr. Harry “Buzz” Waterston. In the past 10 years, Dr. Waterston’s team has raised over $65,000 for charity!

The Congressional Joint Economic Committee is holding a public hearing on the economic impact of eliminating the American Community Survey (ACS) at 2:30 p.m., in Room 210 of the Canon House Office Building.
