The Supreme Court recently announced that they will hear arguments on the constitutionality of the Affordable Care Act (ACA). It has been questions by many of the lower courts and one of the main arguments against the ACA. The severability of the individual mandate requirement from the ACA: If the individual mandate is found to be unconstitutional the court will then have to consider whether that invalidates the entire law or whether the rest of the law can stand without the mandate.
